h2. Menu plans
22
23
Menus are organized in a 'Menu plan', which consists of
24
25
 * a number of rotation days
26
 * a number of menus for each rotation day
27
 * a number of recipes for each menu
28
29
The menu plan itself has two parameters that can be adjusted:
30
31
 * name
32
 * number of rotation days
33
34
h2. Rotation days
35
36
Each menu plan has a number of rotation days, e.g. 12. A menu plan with 12 rotation days will have menus and recipes repeat every 12 days.
37
38
h3. Viewing the list of rotation days
39
40
The Rotation days link under Parameters in the Economat menu links to the list of rotation days that have been defined.
41
42
Each Rotation day has a sequence number, a name, and a list of associated recipes, organized per meal.
43
44
A typical 12-day rotation would have these rotation days defined:

47
48
The name of each rotation day is arbitrary. The sequence numbers assigned to each day determine the order in which the rotation days will appear in the menu plan.
49
50
h3. Special, out-of-rotation days
51
52
Sometimes a special menu is required on a specific day. Take for instance this example:
